anyone know biggest size discs i can use on my gti was thinking of using 406 coupe brembo calipers been told they will fit under my 15's but just wondered what the biggest discs are i could use

would i be able to use 406 coupe discs or would they be to big? think they are 305mm front and 290mm rear

Remember your tiny car is gonna have to warm up whatever brakes you put on it.

yeah i understand about bigger not always better etc but surely the brembo calipers from a 406 coupe and about 280'ish mm discs on front and back will stop better than standard 106 gti brakes?

yes of course they will becuase there is a larger braking surface. I recently upgraded from gti brakes to 406 brembos and the difference is huge, im running 283mm Xantia discs with them

I'd look for anything over 400mm really

Correct except for the fact that pad size and disc size have nothing to do with improving braking distance. You only change the heat capacity of the braking system and the effort required to apply a set force.
