View Full Version : Leather door and quarterpanel retrim

Just finished retrimming the rear quarter panels on my Saxo VTR with a leather hide from ebay. Took a few photos as I did the retrim. This was my first attempt at retrimming anything so there are a couple of small creases on the folds but overall I am pleased with the result.
Used Evostick to glue the leather to the panels.

I didnt steam it. I think i should have done more research into fitting leather first :)

Very nice mate - good choice on the colour too! I've seen quite a few of these, well fitted, but garish colours.

I didnt measure the hide before i started but the item was http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310219789205&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT and i have about a third of it left.

I used 2 tins of http://www.screwfix.com/prods/72928/Sealants-Adhesives/Adhesives/Contact-Adhesives/Evo-Stik-Impact-Adhesive-500ml;jsessionid=RX2HDYN1PFBUACSTHZOSFEY to stick them together and trashed 4 paint brushes putting the glue on!
