hey everyone,
i have not long bought a v reg saxo 1.0
was very pleased with it at first but since about 2 weeks ago have had no stop problems with it :(
first it makes an awful noise when turning corners like clonging???
and then the petrol cap broke and i have to use a screwdriver to get it open
and then when i take my foot off the accelerator it makes an awful high pitch like moaning noise???
and now today ive had the problem with it not starting...have put a thread in the problem bit
but if anyone could help i would appricate it :)
and i dont really know much about cars myself but my brother tries to fix it but he isnt experience with saxos

OK let's go through your list...
Clonking when cornering could be Drop Link/CV Joint
Petrol Cap an easy fix - e-bay for an alloy look one or scrap yard for one in your colour.
High Pitch noise on the overun sounds like Drive Shaft and or Wheel Bearing

Not read the 'not starting' thread but I'm sure someone on here will be able to help. You are probably looking at a couple of hundred quid (inc VAT & labour) to get it all fixed but take it to a good specialist 'cos I'm only guessing as to what the problems could be. In short though it doesn't sound like you have any major problems so I hope that makes you feel a bit better.
