Iv recently done a 16v engine conversion on my furio and it was an unlocked ecu so i did the remove black box with old engine running and the engine started ran fine with the new unlocked ecu, the head had to be replaced and now the ecu has locked itself but there no flashing key?? iv put the old 1.4 ecu on and it starts ok. anybody know why the ecu should have just randomly locked itself and the light not flashing?

Are you saying that your 16v engine runs with a furio ecu?

hes saying he unlocked the ecu, done a 16v conversion and it ran, now since hes removed and replaced the head it wont start, but it does start with his 1.4 ecu on, so its leading his to bliv that his 16v ecu may have locked itself, ive heard this can happen, but more likely a fault with your 16v ecu or a sensor??? the light wouldnt flash it it was locked as its a diff ecu, the imob will be redundant now,

Your post is just as unclear as the first!
From what I can make out you're both saying that this 1.6 16v engine has run with the 1.4 8v furio ecu?

It runs with the 1.4 ecu, allbeit not very well.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to run there engine on a diffrent ecu, the whole map will be completely off.

It runs but obviously not doing the engine any good due to injecting less fuel for the 8b 1.4 engine and it has no go. I think the ecu i got with the engine is a vtr one (the one thats locked itself) as it would only rev to 6250 and i thought the 16v engines rev to 7250????
