Hello

Ive been registered on here for about 3 years when I had my old VTR but never posted as I bought my new baby, my beloved Astra GSI. But due to moving out sacrifises need to be made, which is the Astra :(

Heres a sneaky pic of it :P

Anyway so I am now looking for another VTR as its cheap on insurance, tax and petrol. My question is ive seen a few with 4-2-1 manifold and decat. Does this reduce the fuel economy alot? And whats the running cost like for one as I forgot with my old one!

Cheers

Jimmy

Nice Astra mate, looks like you really looked after it. Dunno about the decat exhausts but would imagine the MPG to be about the norm which is 40 MPG urban or put another way fill up the tank of a VTR with 40 litres and you will get about 350 miles depending on how you drive, that's what I get and I drive like I stole it sometimes lol.

Cheers mate. Yeah the Astra is spoilt rotten!

350 miles from 40 litres sounds pretty gd, as im getting about 250 miles from about 50 litres now! I do miss my old VTR as it was fun to drive although it is a big step back for me so I have to make sure its the right one! Shame I can't see whats for sale on here.
