theres a thread on here bout this, ( http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=315110&page=3&highlight=cut+springs ), if you do it right, and the spring sits sweet, its technically not a M.O.T fail, and they could fuck your shocks, its a debaitable subject, but whats the point when springs start at less tha £60?
from pontyclun i see btw

its advised to get a full kit (shorter shocks so it wouldnt be such a bad ride) but if you go any lower than 40, you should deffiently be looking for a kit, i got a full kit and im only down 35
