hey, i've recently sprayed my saxo wing venetion red to match the rest of the car only to find thats its much brighter than the rest of the car, the paintwork on the car hasn't faded at all so i don't know where i'm going wrong! i used 3 coats of white primer followed by 3 coats of venetian red, should i have used grey primer to get the red a bit darker???? if anyone could help it would be greatfully appreciated :y:

If it was off the shelf paint its no good for colour matching.
Take mauritius blue for example....there is 40+ different shades.....use the wrong shade and it looks crap mate.
Personally i always get aerosols from a bodyshop as they can always get a good colour match for you......unless its a crap bodyshop :n:

In my experience HALFRAUDS paint is w**k , better option would be to aquire the paint from a decent paint supplier who can give you the right mix for your car as they can match it with their colour codes.;) or as said speak to a decent bodyshop.
