Is there anything you have to connsider when re-spraying the bonnet or is it pretty straight forward once its of the car? :A:

nah my mates got a proper compresser so i was just wandering if its pretty simple :)

Just prepare it properly and it should be fine

If you have never sprayed before I wouldnt recommend it!!

Make sure the surface is good before spraying, clean, paint stripped etc and take your time :y:

Sorry mate im not currently taking on anymore work. Your be looking at around 200 at a local bodyshop.

i can get my bonnet done for £80 and the guy that does it is an awesome sprayer mate

I paid £150 for mine. You'll never get a decent colour match though.

If you have a metallic car to do it right you need to have the new paint blended into the old on the wings otherwise the colour looks like it doesn't match.

I paid £150 for my leon cupra bonnet doing, pro job too.

yeah because if you look on my bonnet theres a few dents so i was just going to get some paint made up at halfords seeing as can get it cheap cus i work there, and just use filler and smooth it all out.

should be able to pick up a good condition bonnet for less than £100. then you wont need to worry about paint match

If you've never done painting before, I wouldn't recommend starting off by doing a bonnet. Its quite a big area, and you could end up with it looking like a zebra lol.

I did mine about 2 weeks ago...

really dont know how people can afford to do these jobs for such little money - once materials come out of it you are leaving yourselves about £50 for labour?!?!

i did my bonnet my self, n it came out ok in some areas and some didnt, im getting mine carbon wrapped next week to cover over it, im not happy with it at all
