So anyways was going to buy clay but thought nah im on a budget and i CBA to spend £30 on some clay even though i know it would make the car alot better but without a machine polisher i thought theres no real point and did it the ole faithful way polish by hand. Took a life time, but its done then i waxed it with some dodo juice! and whacked her in the oven for a 24hour roast and volia it will be done. Then the second coat in the morn then alot of QD to sparkle and shine! Heres a picture of it in the oven.

Did you pre heat the oven to gas mark 7/200C? If not the consequences can be disastrous.

LOL. I see. I'm such a douche. Never seen anyone leave wax on overnight then buff off. Assuming it's harder to buff? Gives better protection? 21questions. ^_^

Got to agree with this tbh.
It should be a glaze not a smear.

Depends on the wax..........the recommended curing time on most dodo waxes is like 30 minutes.

Take victoria red wax as another example.....there is no cure time.....once applied buff straight off and the results that gives are insane.

Most of the time leaving a wax on for 24 hours just makes it harder to buff.

Thats my opinion anyway.

i love that with my voctorias collectors wax. 1 pannel at a time :) hate having to let it cure because somedays its dries quick and makes hard work buffing off.
i take it still does its job if you let it cure for that long then?

i left it for about 8 hours, still was fine, just a bit tough to scrub off.

A lot of waxes sweat after they've been buffed off so its always good to give it a go over with a microfiber an hour or so two after you've buffed it off, zymol tends to do this a lot

Just do the finger smear test to see if its ready to buff, job done.

i wish my garage was in a fit state to put a car in! haha and i find if left over an hour it has no better results apart from being harder to get off lol had to use a mates electric buffer last time i left it for a day or so
