as the title says, do most of you shampoo ur car (i.e 2 bucket method wash) after a polish. i thought that would just strip all the polish right back off so there would be no point in polishing???

quick replys needed starting cleaning in a sec lol :P

Polish doesn't stay on the car like wax / sealant, so you can wash again if you want to remove any residue / dust etc.

i find that it is easier just to remove the residue with a mf cloth can be slightly damp if needed

what polish are you using? some polish does stay on your car e.g autoglym super resin polish but wont wash of unless you wash it with a shampoo that isnt friendly to wax and so on like fairy liquid.
but you can wash just to make sure theres no residues left on the paint. but its not necisary as said you can always just go over the car with a clean mf after just to make sure any residues have gone.

After polishing i go over the car with QD Spray to check the defects have been removed (looking under halogens) once im happy i then go over the paintwork with a paintwork cleanser to remove any oils / grease the polish leaves behind. Then you have a good clean surface to ensure the sealant / wax bonds to the surface correctly.

Washing it after polishing imo is just a complete pain in the ass as you have to make sure the water is removed from all the little gaps before adding sealant / wax.
