Hey!
So in preparation for FCS and the weather being half decent i thought i would try and clay the car. Its something i have never done before so i used Meguiars quick detail set as recommended by a fair few people for beginners. It took me a fair while but let me know what you think and any comments good or bad :y::

Did you remould the clay after every panel or use the same face of clay??

I remoulded the clay as often as possible when it started to get dirty but after a while nearly all of it was dirty unfortunatly lol. It did the job for me though as a starter i think

Ideal, its just the that clay looked a similar shape in the pics so I wondered whether you had or not.

Claying is awesome; the majority of people don't realise what it does and how effective it is.

Ahh rite great stuff, glad i did it right lol. I must admit i didnt realise how much cleaner it would get the car, proves that just a quick wash still leaves it dirty lol. Glad i gave it a go now for sure

i have got that clay kit, yet to use it though.

did you use any polish? wax? afterwards?

i have a big thing of autoglym super resin polish... could you use this after claying?

It's best to protect freshly clayed paint so a wax/polish is essential.
