Is it illegal to drive just with socks?

I was under the impression its illegal, but not in scotland for some reason. Something to do with not being in full control of the car.

As long as you are in full control of the car.

The rumour was that it was illegal in Scotland, but not the rest of the UK. Although AFAIK there is no specific legislation in Scotland deeming having no shoes on as illegal.

I drove my car without my shoes on, and if anything you get a better feel of control on the brakes etc.....quite comfortable if you ask me lol ( but i have got bigger pedals)

Thats what I was thinking, I've got size 10/11 feet, and have drove the Saxo in Army boots and steel toe-caps, yeah its narrow but still did it OK.

ive got very beefy trainers that sometimes get stuck between the footpedal and the floor mat :( ... Driving whilst wearing flip flops are even harder!!!

tbh i dont really understand why it would be illegal, why do you need somet on your feet, altho i do understand is, why you shouldnt go to kitchen whilst naked at 5 in the morning to get a drink as a 85 year old female naighbour will be staring at your c...k and will be still telling the story 2 years later lol

I drive barefoot pretty much all of the time, more comfortable IMO
