hi all,im Dan, just bought a 2002 vtr with 83000 miles,my first citreon, what sort of problems should i expect at this milage ? Im only asking as i dont know much at all about these cars, just loved the look and saw some awsome potential, so i bought it.

Welcome aboard kidda,
i bought my saxo with around same about of miles on the clock,
but tbh if the cars been looked after i wouldnt of fort you willl have many problems,
i hammer mine alot tbh n ive had alot go wrong
head casket,
water pump,
rear brakes,
ball joint,
drop links,
relay boxes
but like i said if you look after it, your most probs gona be fine pal :)

but mark is right tbh, anything can go wrong, im just saying the stuff what have gone on mine,
just maintain it well n you will most probs be ok :)

Welcome dude. Service regularly and keep the hammering to a minimum and you'll have happy days. to be fair i nail the vts quite a bit and ive only had minor problems. Some can take it some cant.

I race all the time and I have not encontered any problems, I have a furio but it's still a saxo and fairly quick for a 1.4 just don't crash coz it will crumble easily

Another Newbie here. I'm on my second VTR now, bloody love em, just the first had been beeaten up before i got it so everything went wrong. Like its been said already, it also depends on how the previous owners have treated it
