Hey all,

I've loved Saxo's for as long as they have been out. I had mine brought for me about 2006 and it's been waiting for me to get my driving license sorted. The only downside to my saxo, is that it is a five door, but beggars can't be choosers. I'm getting ready to start modding it, once I've done my test, which is at the end of the month. :panic:

I've already brought red pedals that need to be bolted into place, and my fiance brought me a Sony sound system for my car, which we fitted and sounds brilliant. :fcuk:

Once I've got some money, I'll be defo modding it and posting what I've done on here for some helpful tips on what looks best and what doesn't.

I've already had the idea of:

*Spraying the centre console and heater vents in wicked red (to match the car).
*Changing the front grill from the standard one.
*Alloys (Defo)
*May think of recarpeting it red inside.
*Putting speakers in the parcel shelf.
*May put body kit on, (except the sides as I don't know whether they'd be suited with a five door).
*Interior lights to red.
*Change of front/back lights.
*New gear knob and red leather gaiter.
*New handle for the handbrake and red leather cover. (If I can get one).

Probably have more several ideas later on.

Main thing at mo, is to pass my practical test.

Well that's me. See ya's around the forum.

ye welcome, lower it. i wouldnt bodykit or put speakers in parcel shelf. bit on chavy side. if you want some kind of kit put a vt kit on it if one fits a five door, i dont know, t cut the badges.

Jus my thoughts though, its what you think though. goodluk in your test.

Never really thought about lowering it. I'll have a think about that.

Thanks for the advice, I'll take it into consideration. I was thinking about T-cutting the badges, but didn't want to devalue the car. Though, I do want to get black alloys for it, so I would probably want it all to fit in.

Saw some alloys on ebay,

@AdamDougal - Cool, nice one.

I'll defo give it a think. What does it cost to have it lowered? :detective:

Ye lower it mate, ive lowered mine 40mm and i think it looks great. As for cost it really depends on how your going to lower it.

I didn't realise there were different ways of lowering it. Whats the best way?

I heard once that a guy, where my fiance works, lowered his by messing with his suspension springs and cut so much off them, so he had a clearance of (summit like) 7 or 8 inches. (It was pretty low). And he went over a speed bump and he totalled the back of his car when it came off the speed bump and did some damage to the front. I think it was Pug 206.

Ye you can just get springs, or springs and shock or coilovers, im not to sure about other ways, but ye i dont think cutting the springs would be a very good idea lol
