I prefer the look af a vts, just put some leathers in it.

Depends what you prefer the look of really, as there basically the same car in ever way except looks. i personally would have the gti as it has a less chavvy reputation and has the leathers.

VTS is cheaper, and looks better IMO.
How ever the GTI would be nice if it had the leathers.

They don't
GTI is cheaper to insure, could be a big difference depending upon your age

Anyway, GTI for me personally, just seem a bit more exclusive. Hopefully my next car when the insurance stop shafting me.

cant remember what site it was but its car performance and stats but the vts is slightly quicker 0-60 than the gti, its due to the weight but its not alot to worry about lol.

VTS had half a tank of fuel on the test runs, compared to the GTI, which had a full tank (To keep insurance down, making it heaver so 0-60 times were slightly less)

I prefer the look of saxo's to the 106's.
Down to preference...
But a decent GTI will set you back 1k+ more than a decent VTS imo.

Personally id have either depending what was available at the time. Gti usually costs more to buy and i think id rather a vts anyway so its best of both worlds lol. But Gti insurance is a group lower but that isnt life changing, basically the same.

LOL. - Same car.
Actually.. why are you even asking this question... It's the same car, choose which one you like the look of best. It's one insurance group less but a bit more expensive to buy...
Yes, the leathers are better.
But the dash?!?!?!
That looks like the biggest pile of shit I've ever seen, the dash in a 106 is fucking horrible.

GTi everytime :y:
you see old people driving round in vts' because they're just that sort of car

the dash in the gti is what lets in down imo, it looks too dated, to early 90's.
also prefer the rear of the vts.

How are those stats right? E.g. How is the 0-60 so much quicker in the Spaxo? VTR gearbox?!?! - (THAT TOTALLY DOES 60 IN SECOND in the GTI? :P).

used to prefer saxos, now i think the gti. except i agree the dash is the only let down. looks so wank and dated. saxo dash looks much newer
JRC1
14th June 2010, 23:54
I prefer the less chavy, less popular, more sophisticated image of the GTi. However, the 106 is too pointy compared to the Saxo imo it makes it look more dated, especially compared to the MK2. I'd still own a GTi though ;). The 106 does have better parts, leathers, the mirrors (imo) etc etc. So buy a VTS and add GTi parts to it ;)

Exactly, looks dated. As does the MK1 saxo. MK2's curves keep it reasonably fresh.

Mk2 saxos are for girls. Mk1 vts with the ealier type slatty grill ftw.
jw1325

ur saxos ' curves ' make it look like a fisher price bubble car.
GTi ftw! looks mean, and with the right mods the little second edge that the saxo has can be wiped out.
black one, black wheels, black morrettes, MR lights. and you have a beautiful car that means business :P
VTS...GTi Dashboard looks shit in comparison...looks dated.
GTi Leathers in a VTS...WIN

i dont see the big deal with the dash!!
its really all about whether you want your car to impress you, or impress others.

Would prefer a GTI but a VTS with leathers would do just fine. Dont care bout the dashboard, as long as i'm comfortable...thats what matters to me.
