i just got an insurance quote from quinn for £3898.86 :O i only have a 1.1i its not like i am going to break any land speed records is it? .. anyone know how to get it cheaper (by the way that is with my older brother on the policy!!!!!!!!

still other places want anything from 2800 - 3200 i live in a nice place in torquay not rough at all and the post code chart thing that insurance companys go by or what ever says that i am in a B aera i think i just dont get it to be honest.. 2800 is better than quinn but still it is appauling !!! my car is worth like 800 quid if that!!! grrrr this really irritates me !!!

im in my second year with quinn i got in there when they were giving out nice low premiums lol im only paying £600 on my vtr that is tpft mind, they were much cheaper than everyone else and they knocked my premium down £300 from £900 when i got my second ncb, no complaints from me, but i will be swapping companies when it comes up for renewal though i am starting to get worried by them

Quinn deffo seem to have gone super shit since going into administration.....I've been with them 4 years now n not had a problem.

Had my first car a month (to the date) and some drunk smashed into the side of it, took his insurance company 6 months to admit liability, but Quinn provided me with courtesy car cover for that length of time for free :D and when I did get paid out I got more than what I told them the car was worth, and they let me keep the car (was a write off)

Got it quite cheap now but cant see em lasting much longer

Are you sure? When I was getting my first insurance on my Saxo, Tesco would only do phone quotes for me, not on the internet, but they were okay quotes! And if you have a club card too, also you can use your vouchers on them.

quinn wanted to double my policy on my modified 306(for sale) from the year before when they were good. i have a vtr heavily modded and adrian flux were the best i could fine. try beatthatquote if uo car ismore or less standard coz they give some good deals

my best quote with moneysupermarket was 1800 on a vtr, im 18 with no ncb and parked on the road.
on compare the market i got 955 with admiral. they put it cheaper if its parked on the road for some reason.

my insurance last year with quinn was 2130 tpft got quotes around 1400 tpft 19 1ncb and got my renewal quote from quinn 1190 including breakdown cover,windscreen cover and legal cover

I got my quote from a company in the booklet I got when I passed.

Should have been £3,200 but got it for £2,500 (still steep I know)

I was 17 (now 18) on a standard VTR Mk1 - Own policy, fully comp, breakdown cover, key cover, up to £5,000 cover of stuff inside the car too :y:

Other companies such as Admiral, Quinn, Bell, etc were quoting me just shy of 4k!

yeah same here. i took my policy out as a provisonal holder when they were only taking on people with provisonal licenses, not full. when i got my full license it went up but not that much.

know exactly what you mean my renewal was due and they qouted me 5 grand form 1.1 saxo the woman said its because there in receivership

it is just too much ages ago i got a quote from bell for 1827 third party fire and theft but the quote runs out on the second of august and i dont have my test till the third .. i am gutted !!!! now they want 2800 :(
