respraying vt kit

Hi ive been given a set of vt arches and a side skirt in posi blue the same colour as my car however they are badely scratched and muckey. My uncle is a pannel beater/resprayer however even though he is family its still going to cost a fair bit to respray them professionally. Is their a way i can do it myself and if so what tools should i use and how do you get the right colour code paint for my car?
