are these any good in comparence to the das6?

There better than a das6, but the Kestrel is a rotary and can burn plastics very easily and paint, since your a beginner to the polishing machines the das6 would be the prefered choice otherwise if you want to use the Kestrel get some scrap panels to try on.

I wouldnt actually say they are better tbh Wayne....infact i think they are pretty crap purely because of the machines weight. They are far too heavy imo.....by the time you have corrected the side of a car to a good standard your arms are acheing like mad. And as wayne also says its a rotary so there is the chance of damaging the paintwork where as you cant really do any damage with the DAS-6 orbital.

Almost twice as heavy as the Makita Wayne.....im getting rid of mine and getting a Milwaukee as they are only tike 2.2kgs

:panic: did not realise, Milwaukee are good machines i had a feel of one pretty light but i still prefer my Makita:y:

Never heard a bad thing about a makita tbh...the guys at polished bliss swear by them.......its also the 3 year warranty that appeals to me with the milwakee lol

Must say though that it was Grant_Evans who told me about the milwakee machine......cheers buddy.

ummm... there not really comparable IMO. totally different machines, you cant compare a rotary to a da.

The 3m rotary only weights 1.9kg but a 12 month warranty is gash

i havent done a full detail yet. it's quite funny pointing it out to people that only half of my car is machie polished:oops:
