Is it easy to remove an Immobiliser? cheers

will in theory when people use push engine start like mine you disconnect the immobiliser meaning you dont need to use a key to start the car but thats stupid as anyone can break in and start the car by the push of the button. Thats why i only spliced into mine so that with the keys removed you cant start the car the button is deactivated. But then again it will all be linked to the ECU so probs not. Why do you need to remove the immobiliser anyway seems silly as thats what stops people hot wiring your car and dirving off with it??

I was looking at a 106 xsi with a gti engine guy says it cuts out after a while becouse of the immobiliser and it needs removing? its a really nice car and cheap too:y:

does it have a key pad or the chip in the key?
