The speedometer does not work at all, the rev counter however does, i've checked the haynes manual, but i think there's only one fuse for the instrument panel.
Is it a panel out job?
It's a mk2 vtr 2001 model.

Hi,
IF you can get a live reading of your ECU then you could read your Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS): Testing
Using a scanner the PiD VSS (mph) Vehicle Speed Sensor can be read during a live data test.
You could try to check the wiring to and then change your speedometer sensor - it is above the driver's side driveshaft on the gearbox. You are looking for this:

The rev counter (engine speed sensor) is a different sensor that also measures TDC.
