Whenever im below half a tank of petrol the car has trouble starting... I was told fuel pump is lacking power but i had that changed last year second hand part... Is it deffinately the fuel pump or can something else be causing the lack of power?
Thanks

When you remove the fuel filler cap do you get a 'sucking' sound...?
If so there's a problem with the fuel tank breather valve thingy. What's happening is as the fuel is going down you're creating a vacuum inside which counters the pressure applied through the fuel pump, causing engine running problems.

Hey - thanks for the input... I had a listen to see if I could hear a sucking noise and can't hear anything...
This is really confusing me as last year a replaced it (I know it was a second hand part) but is there anything else that could be causing the problem or do you think I should just replace with a new fuel pump?
Thanks
