hi as the title suggests HELP NEEDED URGENTLY!
i have a saxo vtr 1998 which just wont start it turns over but wont fire, i have had it running but i would get a sudden loss of power when driving and then it would be a nightmare to try get started again now it just wont start, i had it diagnosed it came back with fault code p1203 which was cylinder 3 has an open/short circuit, since then i changed fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, coilpack, crankshaft sensor, transponder aeriel, but still nothing i had it re diagnosed and no faults came back, i have left battery of for a day to reset ecu, checked all fuses are fine, i had spark plugs out one at a time in end of coil pack and found that they were not sparking every now and again i got the occasional spark but only from 2 plugs im stuck and dont kno where to go from here and its really starting to get on my goat, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I had this with my old 1998 vtr i bought it got home and it wouldnt start again, i spent 3 weeks trying everything............ i randomly took the crank sensor off my old 1.4 fitted to the vtr and hey it started! i had it for over a year and it was fine with that sensor. Give a crank sensor ago bud. Im guessing it will just turn over and over until the battery dies?

Tried checking your earths? This can contribute to this problem or be the sole problem. Crank position sensor as youve already mentioned though you have done that alread, and the obvious coilpack etc.
