One of my Bulbs has gone on my 306, so looked on Ebay and found some Xenon ultra bright bulbs and they look pretty good. What do you guys think of these and have you got any pics of them on your car if you have them?
Thanks :)

Highly reccommended for looks but actual practicality theyre exactly the same. Everyone who i know that has driven in front of me at night says how intense the headlights are.

HIDs are illegal when retro fitted so if your mot is legit you should fail it. As good as HIDs look i wouldnt risk them being illegal. i have xenon bulbs and they give out a crisp white light, tbh HIDs would be more powerful but are much more expensive and arent really worth it imho.

A Xenon bulb is alot different to a proper Xenon/H.I.D/G.D.L kit. As said above a HID kit is technically illegal but ive not known any MOT station fail a car for one.the reason there illegal is there supposed to be fitted with headlamp washers and auto adjusters iirc.
IMO the ultra bright bulbs you can buy arnt worth the money all the do is look brighter to other road user's, i had a set in mine and if your after dazzling other drivers with brighter bulbs then you can just adjust yours on your headlights. IMO thats all the ultra brights/night breaker bulbs do, the difference between them and standards is very minimal however the difference between them and a HID kit is huge, There around abot £50-£100 depending were you get them from. dont buy a universal kit though pay abit more for a car specific one

I got a set of white/tint of blue xenon bulbs off ebay - main, sidelight and fog bulbs. Where about £10 i think.
Claim to be 'brighter' but to be honest, they are the same as standard, if not a bit dimmer!
Looks more modern, but don't expect much, if any, beam gains.

be carefull of the 306 headlights, my mate has a phase 3 306 and he bought some that were advertised for a 306 and they didnt fit his headlight sut luckily enough they fitted mine so i bought them off him lol

I've got some xenon headlight bulbs in mine that came fitted when I bought the car. They give off a whiter light then halogen but they are no brighter, and if you look at the headlight cluster when they are on, they are slightly blue.

Pretty much the same as the ones I've got on mine, only real difference is they light up the road a bit whiter without the yellowy tinge but not by a lot.
Also, make sure the bulbs are "E-marked" and therefore road legal in the UK.
I cant stand H.I.D.s. Just dazzle me, yeah great you can see better but when coming towards me I cant see fuck all

Osram Nightbreakers are pretty good. supposed to be 90% brighter and 10% whiter. Only thing i will say is they dont seem to last for ages.
