new head unit

my new headunit is not saving any settings i change like turning off the demo mode can any one help?

Does it reset itself everytime you turn the ignition off?

yhh all the setting return to what they were when i switch it off then back on

Some cars and head units use different wiring for the permanent and ignition controlled power, so those need swapping over. My new head unit had bullet connectors crimped on those wires for this purpose, but I didnt need to use them, all depends on the car and head unit

are they the red and yellow wires ?

That's what i've heard in the past yeah. In the manual, it shows them as these wires, the permanent live, and the ignition controlled. (Ignition one is bottom right in this pic)

as said just swap em round.

switch the red and yellow wire around. usually thats their colours anyway
