Sony Xplode Head Unit Problem

When i remove the front of the Unit (So my car doesnt get broken into) Then go to put it back on the next day or so, the settings that i have created such as, radio setting, arent there any more, just seems to reset itself. How can i fix this? and please be as simple as possible as i am an idiot when it comes to wiring.

does it still do it if you leave the front in it, and just take the key out and put it back in?
