Car will not lock or unlock

Hello just bought a saxo vtr recently, Today I got out went to unlock it and nothing happened. I push down both locks from the inside and shut both doors. When I tyed to unlock it nothing happened again. Please bear in mind my car has been delocked so I had to get in through the boot. When i'm actually in the car when the ignition is off all the dials are still working :S

Anyone help please?
