In the unit opposite where I work one of the most well known long established charitys have just rented the unit.
it's been about three weeks now
this is what I have observed so far
three ladies sitting in the sun nearly all day then a van turns up and a driver takes out collections clothes etc and takes it into unit, about half hour
the three woman are driving 09 59 reg cars vauxhall estate x2 and a nice audi
last week a mobile tyre van pulls up, sticks 4 brand new tyres on the vauxhall
now one of the cars has just been parked up for about a week unused!

now tell me is it me or does this seem like that charity could be a bit more profitable with it's donations!

I'm taking it that the cars are lease maybe £600 per month, and I guess the three sunbathers are on £300 or £400 a week?

anyone have a view on this, have you given to a charity expecting your £1 to go to a good cause, not maybe 10 pence of it if your lucky

Charity should be none profit in my opinion, if people are living the life of luxury off other people's donations and good will gestures.. it is just wrong :/

As above, but is there any proof that they are being paid the ridiculous amount?
For all we know they volunteer for something to do together as there husbands are LOADED lol

Your most likely right though, Id just rather think my donations go to a good cause :n:

a nice car or van might seem extravagant, but its a tiny tiny cost in terms of the bigger picture

it's a major major charity mate a house hold name!
I am certain as it's an official registered charity that these as employes, it's a big concern and the cars all have the dealers stickers in the back window,

my brother sprayed a helicopter for a guy years back
what this guy done was park up the helicopter in shopping centres and alike, put up signs and when people donate thinking they were giving to a major cause,
this guy was able to deduct the money raised, iirc he would draw his wage what he decided he would pay himself!!! I think this may have been in relation to a figure that needed to be collected in a week, (charity agreed) then he could claim travel trailor fee ( he rented trailor to himself for like £100 a week) all costs for respray to helicopter etc
any way I think he was earning £500 a week 12 or so years ago!! all above board
