i guess i'm quite in to the 'car scene' as such, i do the car park thing, cruises etc and car shows. Nothing iwrong with it what so ever or chavvy about it, ok not every car is to my taste but have some good mates into cars, but it is rather dying lately local town car life has pretty much died :(

Yup, was on the news how this couple who go for walks near where everyone meets (which is an industrial estate, nice place for walks...) and how its loud of tyre screaching and they almost get run over crossing the road...

Well if they wait untill the green man shows they wont get run over, and why are they going for a walk on an industrial estate fucking twats.

Dnno. It kinda is atm, but obv it aint serious enough to arrest you for sorta thing. Just get a 59 for causing a distress to the public. But half the time theres no public to cause distress to!

Now it's dead, every 17 year old has a car, every industrial estate has a group of chavs trying to impress their mates. Where's the fun in half a dozen people sat about in their cars on a cold, rainy night on some Macdonald's car park all listening to their music through cheap, poorly installed ice? Years ago it used to be a 200 mile cruise - 200+ cars all of them individual. Look now at the generic kits, loads of cars all looking the same - striving for that "individual" look - just the same as everyone else.

people who dont blatently take the piss out of other peopes cars but i fact respect them for at least attempting to do it.

i go to a regular jap meet once a week and all of us at the meet just chill, we know what the cars can do so dont really boast about BHP figures or 0-60 times. but now and again some idiot in a 1.4 civic will come around asking people whats the top speed they have had out of there skyline,evo,scooby,supra etc etc :S. we aint interested in hearing that s**t. we would rather hear things about...why an owner went and got the car he/she has and whats the positive and negative sides to having such a car.

none of us even bother with blasting music out or sitting there with the engine on. we chat around the cars for a bit then go to pub hahaha.

thats the difference from mature car enthusiasts ad imature ones who just sit in mcdonald car parks revvin the tits off there cars for no reason what so ever!

a true modifier does not take short cuts on things they do it properly and have the proper people do the jobs! OR they get that many contacts alot of companies wish to support the car & the reason behind having it put back to a nice clean car!

woo someone with sense! however on the maccys thing, tonight i've been sat in a car park opposite maccys with various car enthusiasts call them chavs if you wish lol, some have random bodykits, although i must say nicely done, some have random fun arounds like 1.3 fiestas, ive not seen tonight any random revving of engines, music blaring out etc.

The Top Gear clip was about how manufacturers are no longer building cars that are fun/exciting etc because of new rules/regulations etc, this video is more about the car modifiying/enthusiasts etc scene, and how it's deeper than just spending money on a car, it's about the community within.
