Check for any leaks in the engine bay. Oil dripped/getting onto the manifold etc will cause a smell.
Have a look at the rocker cover gasket and around oil filter etc

I had that smell, turned out to be a split crankcase breather hose from induction kit. If it is actually burning oil blue smoke etc etc, then id suggest valve stem seals or piston + rings

not too sure, was only asking becouse i was going to buy a vtr on the cheap but maybe not anymore :homme:

Will smoke if its burning oil
Under load ie hard accelerator blue smoke = worn piston rings
On over run = valve seals
