Hi, im looking to install electric windows into my forte saxo next tuesday/wednesday, i have everything, including loom, swtches and relay. I have revised the haynes manual loads on how to fit the motors, and to a degree i understand what i need to do for the wiring even drawn my own wiring diagram for it lol. however my only issue is that the loom comes with millions of cables prosumingly for differant things e.g. electric mirors and central locking. However my issues are:

1. Which ones are the electric window wires and once found should i cut the unwanted ones out of the loom?

2. The haynes manual shows that at somepoint the electric windows will be wired to the fuse box presuming to power the motors and also to fuse them is anything goes wrong, but were do i wire it to on the fuse box?

If someone could send me some pics of differant parts in the car linked to the electric window setup e.g. the fuse box showing were the electric wires are plugged to and pics of the relay for the windows ect.

Once i have completed the setup and is working i will write a full detailed how-to guide on how to install electric windowes into standard windy window saxos like mine, as i think it will help others as their is no real guide for this and the only one thats not really a guide is the daunting haynes lol

Cheers guys

Not sure on wire sizes but if you look at the switches im sure the ones for the windows are beige best thing is to power up pos and neg and test at door end
Power supply take from Ignition barrel switched ignition this will power windows no problem Just dont go to an underpowered wire !

cheers mate what would be an example of an underpowered wire? and i dont have a multimeter but a light probe if the light stays on that is constant 12v feed?

I had a look at the fuse box diagram and makes alot of sense with me wiring to the fuse box. It states: (correct me if im wrong) F10 rated at 30a and F4 rated at 10a. I can locate the F10 and F4 however when you look on the otherside of the face plate their are millions of wires which worry me. When looking into it one of the wires for the electric windows that goes to the fuse box needs to be fused at 30a and the other at 10a. Could i just wire bothe cables parralell to the same 12v feed point e.g. like you said ignition barrel and put one inline fuse of 30a on one and an inline fuse of 10a on the other? that way i dont have to mess on with the fuse box wires? all the other cables should be simple?

Cheers :y:
