View Full Version : burning oil on start up what could it be??

alrite peeps as the title says over the last week or so have noticed that on start up from cold only i get a small amount of blue smoke that smells of oil it only last for about 3-5 secs then goes and then dont get it after that it doesnt burn it while driving that i have noticed and if i turn it off once its warm it doesnt burn it then when starting
could it be the stem seals are going?

stem seals or worn piston rings maybe. too much oil in engine?

the oil is just under the max mark it aint gone down since ive done the oil change which was like at the begining of the year so dont think its burning it all the time just on start up

Stem seals (Y) Piston rings would make it smoke all the time iild imagine
