Malia!

So im off to Malia in a few weeks with 23 of my mates, we've all just left sixth form and thought this would be a good way to spend our last weeks together before we all go our separate ways.
I was just wondering if anyone else has been and if so what did you make of it?
Also whats the best things to do? Places to go?

Its fucking carnage! Words cannot describe how good that place is! Banana Club, Zig Zag and Apollo are the best clubs, you will get bargains at the top end of the main strip (Big Ben bar & a few other but can't remember, but Big Ben is the place to start). Its cheap as fuck for drinks, 4 Vodka Lemonades, 4 shots, 1 fishbowl for 4euro's.

I love that place. Made me want to go back just reading this! haha

Unless he got a quad bike with insurance out its impossible to spend 300 in a day lol.. But I took around 700 with me, spent 180 on a buggy and insurance for the holiday, they are well worth it! Nothing better than driving to your hotel after a night out just to drive to the beach at 4-5am for the females ;)

Drinks are cheap as fuck mate, its food that costs a bit, but there is a restaurant on the corner near the Mcdonalds out there, I went there some nights and its the best food, you can't miss it.

You will need no more than 500, but just incase take 750 due to if you fall into any trouble you can pay your way out of it, i.e. Drink driving (30 euro and they will look the other way) and medical bills (250 euro if you get taken to the medical centre)

Loved it, there is a little quieter road leading off the main 'strip' these bars struggle to get as much punters in and will do you ridiculous deals on drinks.

He said to go the Red Lion for breakfast in the morning, but i think it might be a struggle fitting 24 of us in there. He did say to avoid the Mcdonalds though as it was awful. Were staying at Stelios Apartments, where did you stay?

its absolutely class !! are you going with 18-30 ? if so do the package they offer, Booze Cruise, Water Park, all the good nights... as above Zig-Zar, banana are the best.. haggle with the reps that offer you drinks then you get a lot more ! its fucking class i want to go back this year but no money :(

Oasis Village like a 5 minute walk from the top of the strip. Don't know about breakfast as we got in at the hotel most times. Plenty of nice enough restaurants there tbh, though the Mexican place made me shit myself.

Make sure you do the foam party at the Castle Club (I think) it's nuts... the waterpark is a good day out aswell. But don't buy into too many of the excursion things the 18-30 people try to sell you, neon nights and silent disco's were shite imo. Booze cruise was a good day.

Air Con was extra at our hotel but worth every penny... took the card off the key fob and left it running while we went out. Priceless.

Buy shitloads of water...

Take earplugs if like me you love your sleep.

Be aware though, don't enter anyone elses Hotel, me and a few mates went into a hotel after a few girls called us up from their balcony when we were on the beach, we got chased and I got tasered in my leg lol.. Security guards take no shit!

yeh buy a shit load of water on the first day you will need it for hangovers... best tip to get rid of one is get up, get bottle of water, go get a full english, while thats cookin jump in the pool, get out eat food.. get a beer and your laughing... worked for me i only had a couple of hours each night

Red lion for breakfast definatly! We always started our nite at Zoo with a fishbowl.. Also there is a nice restraunt on the crossroad on the strip.

If you want to rent a quad dont get one off of the strip, there really expensive. If you turn left at the cross roads coming from the beach there is a renting place down there which was cheap, we paid 50 euros for 3 days with full english insurance.

Only bad thing is all the PR's outside the pubs, they get annoying hassling you. Oh and watch out for the little girls out at night that pay drums begging for money, they pick pocket everyone.

He also said that the reps get you in and get you to sit away from the bar, so they can water the drinks down?

Get pissed before you go out, and just top yourself up when you hit the clubs, it don't get busy till 10-11pm.

We used to sleep for about 4 hours in morning then about 2 hours from 5-7 to catch up on sleep so you werent tired for the next night out. Worked alright with us

Yeah were going to be the biggest group there i would have thought? should be good, we've got the " lads holiday shirts" so we should look pretty smart all 24 of us together ;)
