had a bit of 'confusion' with him a week or so ago but it was quickly sorted. He seems a geniune decent bloke. My brother has met him and traded with him loads of times.
This remind me , i still haven't sent him a PAS pump i sold him last week. *Organises courier for the morning*.

ADVICE : second hand ABS sensors are not a good idea as they dont like being disturbed when removing I personally would never sell them for this reason
I think you are being a little harsh on saxo spares considering what you purchased but maybe he should have made you aware of issues with them being used. Also are you certain its the senors that are faulty and not a pick up or some other fault these things are really temperamental
as saxo spares i have had a few dealings with him always seemed helpful and honest to me
Alanapone
30th June 2010, 12:04
Same as above. I bought a few bits off him before FCS and he was a really helpful, decent bloke. More likely to be some other problem as said rather than these sensors. It's always best to buy these new.
yeahbuddy
30th June 2010, 13:27
no because bought new ones and they worked there alright as long as they have resistance. But any way it was 50 quid but just don't like being dicked about but was only letting people know before ya all get on your high horse

sorry i do remember this transaction, i do remember you saying one of the sensors didnt work and i said i didnt have a spare...i cant say i remember much after that, as far as im aware i havnt missed any calls, definately not had any message recently so i assumed you werent bothered
contacting me through pm would be agood idea as im not out to scam people, which abs sensor doesnt work and il see if i have another.

one thing i can say about saxospares is that he is not very helpfull
i bought a drivshaft from him and he says dhl picked it up last thursday via parcel2go
but i sent and easy 30 messages asking for a tracking or p2g number and when he eventually does reply to me he tells me hell sort it but clearly i still dont know where my shaft is
i normally wouldnt be in a rush for it but im spose to be taking my car away on saturday and this shaft isnt here and i dont know where in the world it is
a good seller always gives the customer what they want info-wise anyway
i he send it why not send me the details????
if you see this mate gona answer my pms or my texts or somthing im not happy in the slightest with the service
Saxospares, i'm sending you this pump today.
I'm suprised i haven't got an abusive message off you lol.
I think people make these 'suspected scammer' threads too quickly. I mean, its been a week since i sold saxospares a pump and i haven't been able to post it.. Should he make a thread against me? Just food for thought.
Posting it today mate, sorry pal x

Paul it was determined by Simo etc that he should not be trading on here, if you remember the fiasco with someone stealing from him in that thread Simo said he couldn't trade as he owns a breakers and isn't an affiliate..
Edit: Read throught thread and can't find the post, but i am 99% sure it was said he should not be trading..
I have spoken to J22 who also says he shouldn't be trading on here as he is a business..
Link to thread? Should be a good read.
If thats true, why has he been allowed to use the trading sections?

surely they cant be stopped from replying to wanted threads

And if he is pming people after being told he couldn't trade thats breaking the rules and I don't know how it would be dealt with but would guess infractions then ban?
Note: This is just my opinion and is not necessarily the truth

INTERESTED IN THE mods take on this as i would really like to see legal enforcement of it. if he is not advertising then he isnt breaking the rules merely responding to peoples requests
if you prevent people from doing that then you are operating a closed shop so to speak which i think you will find is illegal
saxo-parts
1st July 2010, 21:44
i agree with deks on that point, if he replies to a wanted post via PM then he isn't advertising, it would be difficult to enforce and really to watch peoples PM's sort of puts a "Big Brother" throw on things
MikeYost
1st July 2010, 21:46
Yeah well in all honesty I am not fully aware on the rule, I thought it was a business could not operate on saxp, but if its just they can't advertise then there is no reason they can't pm.
J222JRA
1st July 2010, 22:01
Rules only state that traders who are not affiliates cannot have their own for sale threads and iirc they also cannot have website links and advertise via signatures etc etc.
We cant stop people replying to wanted posts etc etc etc as it is a forum after all.

I checked it out before we became an Affiliate, aside from which if you're making money from a site thats here to help people out thats run in a very professional manner, its only fair that something should be put back into it

fair point to that, under rules no he should not
their is a report button on every thread if you feel anyone infringes rules use it to report it, thats the only mods can act as you cannot expect them to read all the threads on here

since i got told about becoming an affiliate i havnt posted any for sale threads, i have put my 2 saxos up for sale though and i have replied to wanted ad's....i think you will find there are quite a few traders and just by looking in the for sale section you can tell who breaks or buys and sells stuff and could be portrayed as a trader
so i break a few saxos, it comes in handy for spares for my own vts and making a few quid now and then, i wont be the first and wont be the last person doing it
yeahbuddy has pm'd me and we agreed for me to give a £10 refund for the abs sensor that didnt work
blacksaxovtr- i havnt had so much of a ball ache with a parcel, im sorry about it and theres not much i could do about it...i was told monday it was in stoke with no address label, i gave them the address, thursday it was still there so gave them the address again before they sent it back to me, most recent tracking info shows: Passed to delivery courier 02/07/2010 08:58:00 PERTH SERVICE CENTRE
i dont know if that means its getting delivered today???

He's got a point, if he's not a business - He doesn't need to become an affiliate. Just because he sells a lot, does not mean he's a business. Dan-Subtle sells a shit load of stuff, does that mean he's a business? At what point does he become a trader/business? Never - regardless of volume sold.
If he had a breakers as a registered business, then that's different and he should be an affiliate. But he doesn’t (?)

still time to move on

trader or not, has he actually scammed anyone? as for the ABS sensor issue, for one thing, they can go duff just by removing them, hence why i give no warranty with used ones, and secondly, things do go wrong with used parts especially if you are dealing with quantity,it happens, end of! Its happened to me and I'll wager, anyone else dealing in used spares, a rogue part gets through. Its not the end of the world, the issue is how it is dealt with afterwards, called customer back-up. I wouldn't leave anyone high and dry and don't think anyone worth dealing with would either.

You knew they were used.
It's like when people are selling engines, they worked when they were in the previous car but may not in the next.
Next time, buy new.
