Not sure if this is the right section but i went the the dales for a few days over the weekend just gone. I was amazed at how good the roads were for driving. I took a few crappy pics but it is way better seeing it for real, i will possibly be arranging a meet for a drive round some of the roads they have, arranging a route etc with a pub meal sometime. One of the better roads was the butter tubs pass which had great quality tarmac, corners, views etc, top gear use this road quite a lot for their films btw.

I will hopefully be taking the vts their very shorty

just wondering if anyone has been on this road and what they thought of it etc

That looks like a great stretch of road to drive on, Looks hazardous to with that sheep in the picture lol.

That looks like a great stretch of road to drive on, Looks hazardous to with that sheep in the picture lol.

we saw a lot of them tbh, its safe as long as you slow down over crests, blimd spot etc

They look amazing tbh. Wish I had roads like that near me. The closest thing I've seen to them is on the way to Carlisle via the B roads.

there are some mean roads by me , the horse shoe pass is a favorite , get to the top and have a brew at the pond -a - rosa
