My missus has got a 206 aswell and i had the same problem, i got a voltemeter and test the wires to c which was live when the keys were out, then obvoisly that is the battery and the other the ignition :y: :D

I sorted it out, i cut the block of the pug wiring and then used block connectors to wire them to the HU wires, i had just wired the ignition and battery the wrong way round, i can have a look at what the colours of the wires are when i get back from work later if you want?

I think i got the same problem! I used a multimeter to work out that both of my radios live wires were indeed ignition, so swapping wires would not help at all.
Im still trying to work out why there's no permanent live, but to be honest i can see myself discarding that idea and just routing a new permanent live from the battery or fusebox.
But yeh, check with a multimeter to see if you actually have a permanent live. Let me know if you find a solution.

Sorry its later than i said, i've just had a look and the blue wire from the pug wiring is the ignition and the thicker creamy white wire is the battery wire.
Hopes this helps, let me know how you get on :y:
