Problem with my vtr HELP

Problem - when ive been driving my vtr till its hot and turn it off, then i turn it on again it seems to start but then the revs dip and it dies? i try to start it again and it doesnt happen, i have to wait 5-10 mins before it starts again - ive been told it might be the fuel pump - some one else has said it may need a new thermostat - im not sure - can anyone help

both sound possible! does the fan come on when it gets about half way on gthe temp gauge?, could just be a simple fan switch or fuse!, had this problem on my 306, try posting this in the engines ect forum you'll get some more replys then!:)
