Hi guys just looking for a guide on how to remove a standard steering wheel from my mk1 saxo vtr, i need it removed so that i can either fibreglass or respray my dash .... not decided which to do yet

To remove steering wheel disconnect neg battery terminal, leave for about 30mins about enough time for the capacitors to fully discharge and then store in a safe place, the two torx screws on the back of steering wheel release the air bag, as you remove air bag there is a wire that you need to disconnect from the air bag
then you have a torx screw I think its 50 but will double check, undo this so far, then bang on the back of wheel towards you, this should free it, then undo the torx totally
you need to remove the cowling, from around steering column, to get the clock surround out, you have two torx screws at the bottom, and two tiny ones at the top

cheers, i will give it a go nd hopefully should be all good, will be doing nearer the end of the month, ill let you know how it goes cheers
