Shouldn't squeal if you copper greased the back of the pads, are the discs the right ones?
they are gti-6 283mm straight grooved with m1144 mintex pads.

Arguably it makes no difference, but may be the cause of the squeaking
Il swap them and see, Might be worth finding out for anyone else thats as retarded as me. In my defence they are barely directional grooves.

Mine are on that way too... I looked at a load of brake website's and in their pic's they were all different directions.
Put mine on this way because it was the most common i saw.
is it hard to put these brakes on a vtr?

they bolt straight onto the hub but depending on waht size of alloys you have they may need a tad grinding

Mintex 1144 pads always squeel ask most people who've had them, If you warm them up they stop it's just when they are cold.
It's the material that they are made out of that causes it.

hmm, i found out differently when i looked into it and its makes sense tht when the disc is spinning, having them in the direction as the OP pic will make the dust collect into the center of the wheel, rather than pushin out towards the outside.

It will still just come out the holes man centrifugal force means if it ends up in the middle it's flung outward anyway
all the grooves do is cut the pad so there's allways a clean surface it's not to do with aiming the dust
look at brembo max the grooves go both ways ;)
Ok well maybe im not an idiot because theres a os and ns on each disc so they are supposed to be that way. :p didnt even notice that at the time of fitting lol.

No im a complete retard...

Had to grind about 5mm off the carrier.
