hi people, right got a slight problem with my mums 106- she got her car towed away by police last week- as she missed one payment on her insurance and they cancelled it without evan telling her :wall: costted her 6points and a fine- but its being dealt with by court.
but she got her car back yesterday with no gears and they saying it must have been like that already- but how could that be like that if she was pulled driving it :S explain lol.... she got a meeting later today with the police to sort this situation out- but in the mean time ive looked at her car as i thought linkages might have come off- i was right one had popped off- but gears still not right- ive got under her car to have alook and have noticed the long metal pipe that the gear stick is linked to that usually sits inside that circle with a big ball on the end- it achually hasnt got a ball on it only a thin bit of metal where the ball sits- its hard to explain but id imagine alot of you know what i mean :) just wondered what does it involve to get a new one- is it a matter of getting a new ball of does it need to be a whole bracket of such ? thanks adam :y:

Item 2) in the picture below: Citroen part 2449 65 "CONTROL RETURN" (which is £36.85 Jun 2010) needs to be changed

mine is the same as well, just makes it harder to get into gear, especial reverse, but it still perfectly driveable, its on my todo list, but it should be to hard to drive it still

thanks people got it off now- gonna go breakers this week to see if i can get one- thanks for the replys- where the ball has snapped or something- it seems to makes the gears too losse to select gears and seems to pop of a linkage- might get some new ones of them too- thanks adam
