hi, im new to 'how to:' threads so thought i would start with a simple one. Ive been wanting to do my calipers for ages now and finally got the time to do it. I used some of this product.

was very easy now i look back at it i feel i got a very good result.
Tools needed; Wire brush, Paint Brush, Brake Cleaner, Pliers helped.
1. Start by jacking up the car and putting it on axle stands. Not really worth losing fingers or limbs when the car drops for the sake of painting calipers. take the wheel off and unclip the brake pad securing clip (not to sure of the correct term for this peice), it just pulls out, put to one side.

2. using the wire brush, brush off all the rust and crap off the calipers, blow or brush off with unused paint brush any excess dust and then spray with brake cleaner to rid of any grease or gunk. The next step is to mask up any parts that you dont want to get paint on. I used some bog standard masking tape that I found lying around the house and its seemed to do the job fine. Make sure you get into all the gaps to ensure you dont splatter or dribble bits that you dont want painting. dont forget to cover the bleeding nipple and brake pipe.

3. Applying the paint was easy. no need for priming as it is a One Part Paint. its quite thick stuff so only needed a few coats. I found it was very quick drying aswel but i still left a good hour or so before removing the masking tape.

4. so that the calipers looked good i decided to paint the brake pad securing clip with a black spray paint

very easy to do, just sand down, prime and spray. pop back onto the painted caliper and your good to go. this is how mine turned out. i think they look really good for a first attemp. would deffonatly recomend to anyone that wants a uprated brake look with out podding out on some brembo's.

hope this helps anyone that wants to do it in the future.
