Hello All
I've just recently managed to bag myself a nice 2000 reg Saxo VTS, completely standard, and its crying for me to put some time and effort into it.
So figured here was a good place to start, first thing I'd like to do would be to get a nice sounding exhaust system fitted, any recommendations and ideas on pricing? Don't want to break the bank!!
Also, any other ideas / tips I can use to make it look a bit more tidy, one thing i've noticed which I think I'm gonna try and change first is that huge radio aerial on the roof.
One last thing, any guides etc on how to do things? I'm definitely no car mechanic, but wouldn't mind learning and doing a few bits myself.
Thanks

Magnex are always nice to hear

Get a small beesting ariel. Pick them up at any car shop really.

Use the Search function and I'm sure something will come up
Thanks

Thanks for the tips.
Just had a look at a few of the guides, think one of my first jobs is going to be polishing up the pipes etc on the engine.

Welcome to Sax-p.. This may sound very rough but i cut my standard ariel down.. works just as fine and looks great imo..
I'd lower the car, maybe colour code the insides.. colour code the inserts on your standard headlights, get some xenon bulb or maybe a HID kit ?
Hmm depending on the colour of your car, respray the allows ?
Just a few ideas.. Hope that helps :)

I did think about doing that, I had a look at the aerial thinking it was just an unscrew job, but neither me or my dad can get the thing to budge lol.
I'll be posting a few pics up later today, just gonna get it washed first, dam birds are the bane of my life at the moment

WD40 it to try make it looser :) then just cut it down :) put the cap back on (maybe super glue it) like i said above, may sound rough, but its cheaper and looks better than a beesting ariel in my opinion

Quite a few stone chips on the bonnet that I really do need to get filled in, and a scratch on the rear bumper that needs a respray :(

Oh no no no, I've learnt that lesson the hard way in the past with my CD player on my old car :(
Was only in as I'd used it earlier that day lol.

First few bits have been ordered, new gear knob, xsara mist washer jets, and a weekend planned to start colour coding the dash/console. Will start a progress thread soon :)
