Okay, this is hard to explain. I'm not even sure if this is a problem but thought I'd post it up anyway. Prevention better than cure and all that :)
I have a weird rumbling noise that's not loud but you can tell it's there. It's really low pitched and intermittent, and gets more frequent with speed.
It's not like a knocking, it'll start, get louder then go quieter, then go, then louder, quieter, gone etc.
It's really odd, I can't feel it through the steering wheel but can feel it through the carpet. Any ideas?
Could it be a mount somewhere? Bearings and discs are new (sub 5k miles) but will go round and check the torque on the hub nuts, wheel bolts and play in the wheel bearings as soon as I can. Any more checks I could try?
Ideas?
Cheers
Mike
