Just wondered if anyone has this..Doc rekons im Hypoglycaemic... as some times i can be fine one minute then be totally none functional. Like sweating, heart palpitations, Almost panic attack symptoms. Feelin sick, Dizzy. irrational attitude.... Its horrible and it can onset so sudden.
Apparently its rare to have this happen without having some form of diabetes but i was tested and im not diabetic.
So i dont know, Some times all of a sudden my body sugars decide to just drop instantly, Leaving me fucked out my head, Shaking and dribbling like a Stun gun victim. Discuss

Did the doc say whether it was reactive or fasting hypoglycaemia?
My blood sugar is usually on the low side at work if I don't get a break, which is fasting hypoglycaemia.

i dont remeber him saying either mate... I was asked to fast before bed and on the morning before a blood test, So i hadnt eat in about 11 hours. My blood was 4.1 mmol. They also took some in a seringe ( spelling) and sent it off but im not diabetic apparently.
The lady said 4.1 mmol was low. But i didnt actually feel like i was having a spell at the time i felt ok.
As i say, it happens so random, Id love to have it checked right when im having a mad spell.
Its awful feeling, i feel like i cant stand up properly and im about to collapse, Almost like ive been injected with a poison thats just draining me from the inside, Its not like the standard hunger jittery feeling you get when you dont eat, this is really overpowering..... I cant concentrate on anything... If i have something sugary within 20 mins im feeling better.

Dad's got diabetes, but uses pills etc rather than insulin. It's a bit shit really, he can't eat certain foods that he used to. Occasionally he will treat himself but then he feels really bad and it's depressing. Those sweeteners taste absolutely shit, I can't see how he copes using them tbh, they taste nothing like sugar at all. Plus, the daily testing of blood sugar several times a day is an annoyance as well.
Hope all is well for you though mate.

Did they give you anythingfor it?
Hypostop/Hypogel for example?
Always keep something sugary with you, lucozade is what we commonly use in the hospital, you need to have about 150mls of a sugary drink - the mini coke cans are the pefect amount.
Also have you thought about investing in a blood glucose monitor? Seems like it would be worthwhile for you. Measure your BGL 1-2 times a day or at least an hour before meals.

Ideal blood level should be between 4 - 8 mmol. So 4.1 is abit on the low side mate.

My dad is diabetic so I know what its like to go through all this.
Hes now on insulin since his heart attack last year. His levels seem much more even.
Had some crazy figures at christmas. 32 on his kit one day then the evening reading was down at something like 6.
