I am looking to buy an Iphone 3gs on a pay monthly tarriff. I have seen one from the carphonewarehouse on Vodafone for..

Just wondering if anyone knows if i could get it abit cheaper? or is it reasonable?

o2 mate...i bought an iphone sim off ebay..really good deal imo.I payed £400 back when i bought the phone but you can get them cheaper now.

Do you have to pay for the phone (handset) too or do you get it free?

only difference between the 3gs and the 4, appart from price, is the camera and video calling tbh. you can upgrade the 3gs to IOS4 software just by plugging it in to itunes... then it multi tasks and all the rest of it just like the 4! ;)

i'd just get the 3gs if i were you and update the software, saves a massive wait... thats what i did anyway. :y:

The phone is free on that tarriff.. but its only the 8gb version i think you had to pay a little more if you wanted the 16 or 32gb

Just to add to the comments that people have said about the only diff about a iPhone 4 is the cam and the video chat, you ain't looked at the iPhone 4 fully have you? It had longer battery life, also is faster just to name another 2 key features over the 3gs!

Try getting in contact with your home insurance mate.

You should be able to cover your phone for the year for under £30.

If not, theres a few bank accounts around for around £10 per month, which include mobile phone insurance aswel as breakdown cover and travel insurance etc.

I get 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500mb Internet,

That costs me £25 for the first 18 months, then £35 for the last 6 months. Paid £119 for a 16GB iPhone4

best deal is with tesco. when i got my 3gs in feb, 12 month contract costing £20.00 a month and initial £320. i get uinlimited internet wifi and downloads(well 1TB but goodluck using all that) and £60 felible credit(calls, texts, picture messages). And you can get upgrade and your phones unlocked after 12 months. iPhone 4 is £340 initial and for £20 a month you get unlim texts 250 mins, and 1gb downlloads i think... www.tesco.com !
