Hello. Can anyone tell me how you would go about changing the oil seals on the valves. Its a 1999, VTR. I've had a look on here but the only thing I can seem to find is people confirming they need changing.
I'll be changing the head gasket at the end of the month so I am assuming this is the time to do it.
Thanks in advance :y:

Blue smoke on start up, drinking oil etc. Dont think oil on start up would be the head gasket?

You need to strip the head down. So have to remove cams, rockers. etc. depending on model. Compress and remove each valve. Pull off old seal using a suitable pliers (long nosed or a valve stem seal pliers etc) and pop new seals on. Iirc a 10mm or 11mm socket is perfect for pushing the new seals back into place.
Then build the head back up.
