i was looking for a metal cased filter (car shop give it me) only to find it was the wrong 1 :/

i dont think yours will be the baked bean can looking thing. it will be a paper filter. not sure tho.

Will be a paper filter in a plastic housing. Accessible from the top of the engine.

yeah not a metal one which screws into your engine block. should have a 26mm(ish) hex cap. undo it and replace it there.
would be best to change it the same time as the oil. not much point having dirty oil running thru a nice new filter :D
