exhaust blowing?? but not??

my car sounds like the exhaust is blowing but ive took it to the garage n they hae aid it isnt blowng from anywere??? they mentioned baffles in the backbox could be nackered.....

is there anyway to find this out rather then pay for a new back box to find out its not that??

I think I have this same problem I aint taken my car to a garage yet but have looked underneath and see or hear or feel any gas escaping

maybe blowing from manifold? since decatting mine it sounds like its blowing now and again.

I aint decatted mine and I will check the manifold tomorrow and is there supposed to be a gasket between the cat and centre section because I can hear it most there but cant feel anyhting

try a new gasket there.. only a few pound. wire brush ya flange, copper grease the hell out of it and re attach.. see if that fixes it... It fixed my flange creak so may just aid in a new seal for your blow that seems like its coming from that area mate. Just a thought. If not then... either way it will save you coming on here in 5 months saying my exhaust is creaking :) cause that baffled ( exhaust pun) me for ages... and a lot of other people on hereaswell lol.

simply get a rag when the car is running and push it over the tail pipe and hold it tight.
Listen for a gas leak or get a friend to go under listening for a gas leak or feeling for one

i got the same problem. when the revs are low it sounds like its leaking a bitch. going to check it out in a bit.
