For the last few years Ive always thought that new cars are starting to get slow and boring. Over the weekend a mate and myself went out just to see what there was.

I won't say what we went out in just yet.

So out of all the new cars available, what would you get next?

Chr15

Ok, something on finance you could afford to buy and run as a daily.

So its going to vary for different people, but Im guessing you can't afford the GTR or 911 ;)

Dont be a fucking cock and judge peoples financial status.
Wether the money in my bank is from an enhertance or having 3 full time jobs for 3years and saved like fuck... There are plenty of pele out there who dont show off with their cash.

Gold r32 would do it for me
Or
Audi sportback tbh.

e or having 3 full time jobs for 3years and saved like fuck...

I've been trying to think what three jobs you could work full time that fit around each other...

I've so far thought of bin man, postman and bus driver?

lol. Seriously? I doubt I could afford any car brand new..the finance would just burn a massive hole in my pocket!

Since it's all hypothetical then..

Ford Focus RS please :y:

Bin man, shop worker, barman/bouncer.

They'd fit around eachother

On a serious note. Binmen get paid quite a good wedge. Plus apart from the early rises, it's quite an easy job. Had a random convo with a binman once, really sound guy. Had his own house and Jaaaaag.

What about sleep?

And it wasn't a dig at bin men. Although the only bin men I know are cunts who think they are the dogs bollocks :)

lol I'm 23.

Seriously though. I meant if I ever was to buy a brand new car, I could easily afford a Ford Focus RS. I love them and for around £35k it's quite good value. Plus relatively cheap maintenance costs also is a plus for me as well as fairly cheap parts make it the perfect package.

I'm not rich or anything. Just knew how to seriously save through Uni and make good use of the money I earned before and after it. I meant hypothetical as I would NEVER buy brand new lol. It would physically hurt me driving it out the showroom knowing around £1k had just gone out the window..

I like the look of the DS3 Sport and the Clio Sport 200 Cup. Quite fancy a Golf GTI as well or a Fiesta Zetec S/Focus RS

Mate I told you. Sold as seen. Those dead dogs in the back belonged to the Korean owners before me though so no going to the Police thank you.

Tbh, it required a lot of self discipline. So tempting to buy the latest trainers or clothes because your friends are also, and I stop myself and think, what about my future? I've got enough for now so I'm happy to carry on without having to buy things I don't actually need. Also NEVER ate out. Yes I felt like a gypsy cooking all the time but it is nice knowing it was worth it after.

You had to do all that to afford to run your Ssanyong Rhodus? I do really feel sorry for you, should have gone for the multipla.

Managed to sell it to Daz_zz_er for £45, stuck a VT kit on it and he thought it looked fast

I decided to be ultra sensible & bought the Trophy instead :y:

Brand new, ds3 for sure! I couldn't really afford finance at the minute without leaving myself short of pub/town/shopping money and as others have said I wouldn't want to be the one paying the initial depretiation of a brand new car

SaxOhdear

If the majority of the Hot Hatch tests are anything to go by, then the Renaultsport 200 can't be touched for pure out of the box driveability!

Due to my pathetic wage I would never get a car on finance, I would never get finance on anything really unless I needed to. I have enough wedge to buy a decent car saved up but would rather have a decent amount in the baaank.

I would love an R26, Focus RS, Clio200 cup

something like that :)

I would never buy a brand new car as I think it's the biggest waste of money there is.

I'd buy a pre-registered one or a one year old car but never brand new.

That said, if I was forced into it then I'd probably grab something like the Megane sport

I looked at buying a new Elise a year or so back, so I guess that. Being that I don't actually need a car I don't really think I'd ever finance one

Bought a car brand new at 20 and sold it after 6 months, it bored the life out of me.

But if I did it now it'd be an FD2 Civic.

Sure, plenty could buy a DB9, but far fewer could afford to run one.
A solid £100+ on a tank of fuel then getting a nice 15mpg. £700+ for a service, etc etc.

Anyway..
Gotta be a Nissan S15 - although not entirely feasible. Nor very new.

Neither do anything for me though.

Same. Think they're fairly f'ugly cars, and looks are important when you're spending a bit of wedge!

I don't think he meant it like that. I think he just meant for people to think more for what probably the majority of this forum could afford.
I seriously doubt many people on here could afford a Range Rover Sport or 911 GT3 RS brand new.

For me, i'd hope i'd be able to afford a Clio 200. Although i dare say i'd be pushing it...?

Wouldn't want a brand new car either way, you loose too much money... Unless i was very well off anyway.
