i've recently put a filter on mk1 vtr without a cold air feed and i've noticed that slowly but surely its been lagging power .. and sorry if this kind of thread has been on before, but is this common and what can i do to cure it ?

stick a cold air feed to it. take it that its not a closed induction, just the filter. will just have to get a air feed from the front of your car and aim it at the filter, or just stick your old filter box etc back on and change the filter.

not to sure mate, but if it wasnt lagging before the filter, then i would imagen its just the filter making it do it. there are a few people on here whos done it. might have to look around and ask someone whos done the same
