Have just fitted a head unit, amp and two subs.
If I connect one sub it runs but very very quietly.
When I plug in the second I get a really loud buzzing, almost like its on a constant on, which I unplug.
Any obvious ideas? My amp is OK I think because a green light comes on, whereas if the earth wasn't good the red one below would be on.
Should I be plugging them in in a certain way?

The remote lead? Yeah that was what gave me some trouble to start with as I hadn't connected it... It all seems to be in fine now though.

Have you tried turning it on and off?

I have two Alpine Type E 10", and yes I have turned it off and on....
I have found some wiring diagrams on Boston Acoustics website for their amp so am going to do what's said on there tonight and see if it makes a difference.
I think that the way I had it wired was dropping it below 2 Ohms.

Someone please help! I am quite sure it is my earth but I have taken the back seatbelt boot out, stripped the paint and put my earth lead on it, even held it on and I still get this buzzing. Moving the earth interferes with the buzzing.
Is my earth not
Good enough?

All working now, had it all right, just put the cable for the subs back in and went fine!
